Dave’s latest project is the Dave Bass Songbook, picking up where Gone left off. Dave has put together an all-star cast for several Sacramento-area concerts. Five great singers interpret Dave’s original music and lyrics, joining together as a chorus on Mi Guajira and Filled With Song.

Gone presents Dave's compositions scored for piano, sax, bass and percussion and features two "new standards" sung by acclaimed jazz vocalist Mary Stallings. Dave and saxophonist Ernie Watts, percussionist Babatunde Lea, bassist Gary Brown and conguero Harold Muniz present a mixed set of original post-bebop, sultry and bluesy ballads, gospel, straight-ahead jazz, Afro-Cuban and bossa nova tunes plus a Piazzola tango.

La Descarga! specializes in Cuban classics by Cachao, Peruchin and Lecouna, "latinized" standards including Besame Mucho, Tres Palabras, Caravan and Fly Me To The Moon and Dave's original tunes.
The band features Bea Godinez-Muniz on conga and lead vocals; Dave Bass on piano and coro; Harold Muniz on timbales and coro; and Dominic Garcia on bass and coro.
